Kristin Waller and Kevin Glad are true Minneapolitans; they wanted to share the vibrant city that brought them together with their many out-of-town guests, so they stretched their big day into an entire weekend. The day before the wedding, the couple and their close friends and family caught a Twins game and picnicked at Minnehaha Falls. On the day of the wedding, a bumblebee-yellow school bus picked up the guests after the ceremony in Northeast Minneapolis and took them on a scenic city tour before dropping them off at Café Lurcat. The venue was decked out in orange and turquoise, the bride and groom’s favorite colors, and the menu offered some of the best eats in the city. Guests noshed on the restaurant’s signature cheeseburgers and swooned over the chef’s cinnamon-sugar donuts. The entire weekend unfolded like a tourist’s dream visit to Minneapolis, and the bride and groom were more than happy to combine that one-of-a-kind weekend experience with their wedding.
