Engaged: Rose Petals and Romance in Private Dome Proposal at Sheraton Minneapolis Downtown

A weekend getaway to Minneapolis for a concert became the blueprint for a new life when Kamiliah designed an ethereal proposal for her girlfriend, Achaia. They began as friends, bonding over deep conversations about life, careers and failed love. Kamiliah, an architect, and Achaia, an urban planner, quickly discovered how aligned their dreams were, both professionally and emotionally. Embracing their shared love of the city and beautiful buildings, Kamiliah found the perfect location to propose: a private dome at Sheraton Minneapolis Downtown with views of the glittering skyline. Kamiliah wanted to create the feeling of being in the clouds, so a dreamy all-white palette of balloons and white rose petals framed the “Marry Me” marquee.
