Enveloped in an air of contemporary romance, Woodhaven was the perfect place for Caroline Hinton, owner of Hinton Studios, to bring her scarlet vision to life. Through a whimsical mix of floral arrangements and expertly placed single stems—with drama at the center of the design—Hinton captured “something that would give other brides fantastic inspiration and ideas for their own upscale and modern wedding.” Intensely romantic, bold and deep reds were infused into every luxurious detail of the design, a stark contrast to the venue.

At the end of an aisle surrounded by ghost-white chairs, stunning and organically arranged red roses and anthurium were paired with delicate blooms like tulips and ranunculus. “The textured surfaces caught the light beautifully, adding depth without distracting from the floral artistry above them,” explains florist Bridget Connell of Haute House Studios.

Pops of passionate reds and warm burgundy tones graced every surface of the reception space and played a vital role in the extravagant tablescape, from the glassware and napkins to the inviting menus and rose petals strewn across the table. As a bright red “cherry on top,” chic and feminine red bows were tied on the stems of each glass in the champagne tower. The eye-catching red roses that accentuated the simple, three-tiered white cake were tiny but monumentally impactful splashes of the dramatic color. Says Hinton, “We wanted to stay in a space of refinement and elevated simplicity with tasteful floral accents.”
