We are entering a bold new era of wedding style, and we’re so happy you’re joining us for the adventure, dear reader! Norms are being redefined, rules are being broken, traditions are being rewritten, and we’re here for it.
While this issue has so many moments to be inspired by, I have a few personal favorites. Take our first cover photo, with the Monique Lhuillier "Amalia" top and "Alice" skirt from anna bé. This eye-catching combo — just one of many — was part of an incredible photo shoot (“The Good Life,” page 80) that focused on fashion-forward styles. And, not only did this shoot feature some of our state's most beloved bridal shops, I'm excited to share that it also showcased the work of two of Minnesota's own designers, Tara LaTour and Kathryn Rogers of House of KLynn.
In this issue, you’ll also find an array of tips, tricks and products to help you feel your best; sumptuous spreads of celebrations that encourage the incorporation of cultural traditions; and astounding local weddings with the trendy and out-of-the-box ideas you’ve been craving. Take a look, see what you like, and make it your own. It’s OK to be daringly different!
Finally, I’d also like to congratulate Sonja Babich, who recently made the leap from publisher to the new owner of Minnesota Bride and our five sister publications. She has an unrivaled passion for all things wedding, and I couldn’t imagine anyone better to take the helm here – not to mention making us a woman-owned company!
Cheers to all that is bold, new and exciting!
