Nothing says summer in Minneapolis like a gorgeous sunset, a sailboat and Lake Harriet. Add a beautiful couple plus an adorable pup and you've got one of the sweetest engagements we've ever seen. Nicole and Jesse's shoot with Penny Photographics is such a unique idea and perfectly captures the spirit of Minnesota and the personalities of this loving couple.

Nicole and Jesse are both spirited adventurers of the open water which is perfect for living in Minnesota with over 10,000 beautiful lakes. They not only know how to conquer the water on a boat, sailing is one of the qualities they fell in love with in each other. However, sailing is not the most important thing in Nicole and Jesse’s life. That honor goes to their adorable dog Neeka. As anyone with a dog knows, the bond between human and canine is magical. So, when I set out to capture the lives of these two, there was no better way than to document the everyday lives of them and their adorable pup on a sunset sail.
