Rachel Nichols and John Callahan share a love of travel, so it was only fitting that the proposal took place in one of the many international destinations they’ve visited. The two, who met at a Halloween party in 2014, were taking a midnight stroll in Amsterdam. John had waited all day for the perfect place to ask Rachel to marry him; the moment came at a quiet canal-side bench beneath twinkling Christmas lights. In an intimate ceremony of family and friends—postponed for months because of the pandemic—the two were married in the fall. Rose-gold accents, from their wedding rings to the numbers on the reception tables, were a unifying theme. For a personal touch, each table also bore the name of one of the couple’s favorite cities. Burgundy was added to the original blush, mauve and white floral arrangement colors that teamed with the changing leaves outside. From the moment John saw Rachel in her gown to when their eyes met as she walked down the aisle to their song, “’Til Kingdom Come,” it was a mesmerizing day filled with moments to be cherished always.
