First impressions aren’t everything. When Lauren Juster first met Darren Lederfine at a friend’s party, he made fun of her favorite rain boots. She found him a bit rude, but a friend encouraged her to give him another chance. “His second impression went over much better than the first,” says Lauren. To make sure their wedding made a great impression, they chose the Minnetonka Apple Orchard for its natural setting and casual vibe—ideal for the couple’s no-fuss Fourth of July themed wedding, where they hoped guests would hang out and eat barbecue-style food without worrying about dropping anything on a fancy dress. Their pup Maxwell also played an important role in their big day, attending the festivities and posing for photos “Maxwell was also featured on the treat bags,” Lauren says. “Let’s face it—he is the love of our lives."
