Lily Pirila and Kolin Kiekhoefer’s wedding day was a testimonial to their love of nature and Minnesota summers. The couple’s warm, free-spirited wedding accompanied by faith and family included Lily’s step-mom and Kolin’s dad reading Bible verses after Lily walked down the aisle strewn with flower petals thanks to her adorable cousin. The ceremony arbor was garnished with luscious florals of toffee, quicksand, and amnesia roses, matching the bride’s bouquet. The venue’s grand trees provided shade and a picturesque setting as the two exchanged “I do’s.” Guests headed to the barn for the reception, welcomed with table settings of flower petals, greenery, votives and gold lanterns. A table was reserved to honor relatives who had passed, their photos displayed in vintage frames. Guests took Polaroid pictures to compile into a book for the newlyweds to enjoy in the years to come. The Bundt cake was a crowd favorite, topped with the word “Love.” It describes the event perfectly, Lily says: “I will never forget the love shown to us on that perfect August day.”
