Minnesota Bride Spring Summer 2025

Alexandra Robyn of Alexandra Robyn Photo + Design took a unique approach by pairing two unexpected items: oysters and orchids. “It was born from the similarities in the shape and the harmonious femininity and masculinity associated with each of them,” she details.

Set against the weathered stone walls of Mill City Museum, Robyn paired with Artful Events & Design and a team of talented professionals created a Mediterranean-inspired celebration where coastal beauty and floral elegance intertwine. Each detail channels the charm of a Greek seaside gathering, beginning with an invitation suite illustrated with sketches of the venue’s historic architecture.

Each carefully curated detail, from the delicate orchids to the exquisite tablescapes, contributed to an atmosphere that beautifully blended the Old-World charm of Greece with the playfulness of our oyster-meets-orchid concept.

The ceremony space sets the tone with two arches boasting identical chandeliers and lush clusters of greenery and white florals that embody a Grecian sense of romance. Moving into the reception, the inventive escort card display features oyster shells meticulously arranged on a canvas backdrop.

The tablescape exudes sophistication with lush white orchids artfully arranged beside oyster shell candles. Textured linens in soft, muted shades seem cozy underneath refined while gold flatware and minimalistic glassware. Custom menus rest delicately upon floral-illustrated China chargers, adding a charming vintage aura to each place setting. Woven baskets filled with delicate blooms and clusters of candles in hurricane glass add warmth and intimacy to the space, while driftwood accents bring a raw, coastal feel. These contrast points elegantly illustrate Robyn’s vision of the masculine and feminine harmonizing in design.
