Fall/Winter 2020

We've found ourselves in a strange new reality at Minnesota Bride, as our world, like yours, was upended this spring. Social distancing kept all of us safely at home, but quickly altered our plans. For our team here at the magazine, that meant reworking photo shoots and re-envisioning content. For you, we know that meant decisions that were even more difficult, about your upcoming weddings and receptions.

My thoughts have been with you, brides and grooms, as we all reimagine what weddings look like. Perhaps you’ve postponed; maybe you’ll get married now but plan a big party next year; or you might move forward with a more intimate celebration and guest list. Whatever path you choose, this new reality doesn’t mean “less than”— instead it’s a chance to reassess and focus on what’s most important to you. I so look forward to the time when we can return to celebrating as we always have.

As this issue sees the light of day, it's my profound hope that we're moving ever closer to easier circumstances. So with that said, I'm more excited than ever to announce our Best of 2020. This list of top local vendors is the ultimate resource for local couples looking to hire talented local pros, the experienced experts with proven records of customer satisfaction. Their mission is making brides and grooms happy, throughout the planning process and on your wedding day, whenever that may come.

As we look forward, it’s time to start dreaming. Our Fall/Winter 2020 issue is filled with inspiration, from real weddings and fresh food ideas, to dreamy decor and creative color palettes. We also have tips for navigating the new world of intimate weddings, ensuring your big day, made slightly smaller, is as special as you imagined.

As plans change and dreams evolve, one thing remains true: You and your beloved have each other. And that’s worth celebrating, today and every day.
