When is a field not a field? When it’s been transformed into a gorgeous picnic locale that is straight out of a dream. “I’ve always loved the way that western and boho aesthetics can crash into each other and create such a beautiful and breathtaking effect,” says Ashley Seanger of The Glamour Ranch and the mastermind behind the design. “I wanted to combine the undone elegance of boho components while also incorporating turquoise stones and some old west flair.”

Ashley’s heart has always been with the west, and she wanted to play homage to the rolling prairies and cowboy boots she loves. Local vendors were highlighted throughout the design. Taylor of Wild Thyme Floral focused on warm tones in her choice of buds that contrasted the rolling pasture beyond and complemented the oranges that dominated the design. Amanda at Little Cakes Cupcakery whipped up a perfectly bohemian three-tier cake as well as flower-inspired cupcakes that looked as though they were just picked from the garden. Melanie at Rolling Forks Vineyards provided savory fare with a never-ending charcuterie board.

For hair and makeup, Ashley wanted to create soft and effortless looks. Loosely styled hair offsets the more glamorous, yet still natural, makeup looks.

And to tie it all together, Ashley even enlisted her friend’s horses to add a whimsical and authentic touch.
