Nikitta Klonne had a crush on Cole Mason from the moment they met—in third grade. And it’s still going strong. A few days after Nikitta’s 26th birthday in 2019, Cole proposed at a cabin getaway while serving breakfast in bed, with the help of their dogs, Louis and Millie (Millie carried the ring.). By the time the date arrived, they knew many family and friends couldn’t attend because of the pandemic, but “we had so much support,” Nikitta says. The couple’s best friend, Calvin, was their officiant; Nikitta’s close friend Kyle was her “best man”; Cole worked with his uncle Tony to design Nikitta’s rings, and Cole’s grandmother, Bev, gifted Nikitta his late grandfather’s wedding ring to slip on Cole's finger at their ceremony, one of the most meaningful moments of the day. Nikitta describes her vision for the day as “Southwestern boho and vintage French country.” A longtime thrift-store shopper, she used her collection of antique furniture, milk-glass vases and other décor in the design. Fall-inspired hues of champagne gold, rust, cognac, mauve and green, along with a mix of textures—the men in corduroy, tweed and linen, and the women in satin, velvet and tulle—was the finishing touch on the warm and cozy wedding of their dreams.
Nikitta & Cole's real wedding.
