A blind date for coffee and a walk one unseasonably warm day in January 2019 ended up lasting nine hours. Six months later, Megan Waytashek and Matthew Dennison got engaged. The couple initially planned a backyard wedding in Matt’s hometown of Austin, Minnesota, but when the details proved too stressful and time was growing short, Megan googled “wedding venues available on 10/19/2019” and the new Abella Weddings and Events popped right up, and the intimate wedding in a secluded locale that they had been seeking became a reality. Bouquets of white flowers and greenery enhanced the venue, as did an arbor handmade by a close friend. The guestbook left room for Polaroids and personal messages, while snacks from a popcorn bar were served in bags emblazoned with “Our love is poppin’.” Says Megan, “When we think back on our wedding day, we can’t help but smile. In our eyes, the day was absolutely perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for more.”
