Fortune brought Paige Scovil and Jake Keefer together—literally. Next-door neighbors in the freshman dorms at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Paige opened a fortune cookie that read “Stop searching forever, happiness is just next to you.” She got the message loud and clear. For their wedding, it was important to the couple to marry at their church, and when they visited the Wayzata Country Club, they knew they couldn’t have their reception anywhere else. “The staff and hospitality there were second to none,” Paige says. The bride and her mom, Kaye, spent countless hours planning and hunting for the perfect décor to bring the classic, timeless wedding to life. “My mom is my best friend, and getting to plan my wedding with her by my side was a dream come true,” Paige says.
