Wedding Date: November 16, 2019
Everything about Danielle Nahan and Krisna Sorathia’s story is daring, lively and unconventional. To start, Krisna proposed three times. The first was a surprise, but then he wanted to get permission from her family, so he popped the question again. Finally, they thought they wanted a “story,” so they booked a trip to Portland, Oregon, for one last proposal. Rather than sticking to the tried-and-true, they sought to make the event represent them as a couple. They went with a wildly fun “midnight jungle disco” theme, complete with floating florals and potted palms, at the hip and trendy PAIKKA. A bold bride, Danielle made a statement in a black dress for the ceremony, followed by a gold gown for the reception. Instead of traditional ceremony readings, they had a friend read an entry from Danielle’s diary about the day the couple met. They also integrated aspects of Krisna’s heritage, with the bright colors of a traditional Indian wedding, as well as surprising his mother with a Bollywood flash mob.
Danielle and Krisna make a statement with disco vibes and jungle details.
