Like lots of couples, Kelsey Wright and Jack Hewitt first met at a bar. Except instead of being bar patrons, they were employees, and it took them a year to work up the courage to make a romantic connection. “As I highlighted in my vows, his contagious laughter and fun spirit made it pretty easy to fall for him,” Kelsey says. For their industrial/romantic-themed wedding, they chose PAIKKA for its unfussy aesthetic and open concept. The couple incorporated lots of personal touches into the day, like their favorite ice cream sandwiches they shipped in from San Francisco (where they lived after college) and Spotted Cow beer from their college days at the University of Wisconsin. And then, of course, there was the last song of the night, “Sweet Caroline.” “The bar where we met and worked would play that every night for last call,” Kelsey says.
