Tommy Astrup and Abby Sekus had been dating for about a year when he proposed to her on the Stone Arch Bridge one snowy night a couple of days before Christmas in 2021.
Classic Minneapolis Wedding at Le Méridien Chambers
Ashley Kirscht and Derek Schluender both signed up for eHarmony to prove that it didn’t work. The joke was on them, as they fell in love within weeks of meeting and were married a year and a half later. “I felt like I’d known him my whole life,” Ashley says. The couple wanted a downtown Minneapolis wedding that was intimate, elegant and romantic. As soon as they toured Le Méridien Chambers’ rooftop lounge, they were sold. “It was everything we were looking for and more,” the bride says, citing the enormous chandelier and wrap-around balcony as unique features. The best part of their day was sitting down at their sweetheart table for dinner. “So many couples had told us they never had the chance to eat on their wedding day, and we wanted to be different,” says Ashley. “We shared a meal together like we were on a date.”
