Polly Wales Fine Jewelry Pop-up Trunk Show at Max's

Max’s at The Shops at Excelsior & Grand is hosting a one day Polly Wales fine jewelry pop-up trunk show on Thursday, October 25 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event will feature the designer’s collections of bridal and everyday jewelry, including rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets. Max’s is also expanding its rewards program by offering shoppers 10 percent off all full-priced items by hosting “Points Forward Month” through October 31.

Wales, a native of London, studied sculpture then taught art to juvenile offenders before discovering her true passion of designing jewelry. She studied Jewelry Design at the Royal College of Art, where her naturally anarchic spirit combined with classical training to inspire the creation of her signature “cast-not-set” process. Much of her work involves casting gemstones directly into molten gold, resulting in unique pieces that push the boundaries of traditional fine jewelry. “We make jewellery that lends itself to reminiscing,” said the Wales. “It feels ancient, travelled, lived in and handed down. We are the antithesis of pristine and reserved.”

In 2016, Wales and her family left the rolling hills of the English countryside for the sunny grit of downtown Los Angeles where the company is now based. Her jewelry collections are sold in fine boutiques around the world. Max’s is the exclusive Minnesota stockist to carry the Polly Wales Fine Jewelry collections.
