The Hutton House opened its doors to Minnesota’s top wedding industry experts, engaged couples and individuals interested in the wedding planning process. Style-Architects Weddings & Events designed and planned the event and brought the best in the business to help decorate and educate. " I wanted the vibe to feel bright, festive, playful, and unexpected. My favorite part of the day was watching the panels and seeing each professional shine as we intended," said Rachelle Mazumdar, owner of Style-Architects Weddings & Events. Bright blooms from Studio C Floral and brilliant balloons installations by Botany Creative filled the space as candles flickered upon tables adorned with glamorous linens from Linen Effects. Guests were welcomed with music from Loring String Quarter and bubbly courtesy of 4Liquid Motion and stopped to get a photo-op in front of another stunning installation by Botany Creative. But the photo-ops didn’t stop there; The Traveling Photo Booth was a hit and left guests with a sweet keepsake from Wedding 101. Before the panels began, our Associate Publisher, Brooke Beise explained how Minnesota Bride can help in your wedding planning journey while our Editor, Megan White shared the biggest wedding trends of 2023.
Our panelists were honest and to the point with their expert advice. Ink Sweets provided delicious cupcakes while Chow Girls Catering set-up an irresistible grazing table and offered advice about wedding day food and desserts. Guests could visit WarPaint International Beauty Agency’s beauty bar, see looks from Emily Kaye Bridal and chat with Milburn Clothing Co. to nail down their wedding day look. Photographer, Vick Photography and videographer, Summit Hill Studios captured the day perfectly and chatted with couples about the ins and outs of wedding day documentation. Instant Request DJ Entertainment explained everything they offer and how they get everyone, even Grandma, out on the dance floor.
Flutterby Celebrations & Ceremonies offered the best tips on how to write sentimental vows while Style-Architects Weddings & Events gave impeccable answers during the Q&A portion. The Hutton House not only provided their space for the event, but also provided insight on the venue process of wedding planning. With an expert eye for design, Katie Murphy Stationery told the audience details about paper goods and how to incorporate your personality into them. "I was also happy to see questions from couples, which showed they were truly engaged in the content. I’m sure couples learned so much about planning from the experience. I know I picked up a tip or two!" Rachelle said.
As the day ended, guests left with a complimentary Minnesota Bride Wedding Box filled with goodies from Minnesota Bride and our panelists to help in the wedding planning process, a notepad, tumbler, cosmetic bag, champagne stopper, a luggage tag and, of course, a copy of Minnesota Bride magazine. Thank you to all of those who came out to Wedding 101 and a huge thank you to our wonderful panelists and sponsors who made the day possible!
