Samantha & Sam's sentimental celebration in Cannon Falls
A Minneapolis Wedding Day Full of Dominican Traditions

Carolina De La Rosa Mateo and Ed Walczak honored their heritage and paid homage to family traditions during their wedding day at Westminster Presbyterian Church and Minneapolis Institute of Art. The couple opted to do a first look, "It was truly special, and one of the happiest moments of our lives," bride said. Ed's family has been attending Westminster Presbyterian Church for generations, so it was the perfect place to make more memories. The ceremony was performed in English and Spanish as the bride is Dominican. "We felt so grateful to have had a bilingual pastor," Carolina said. "I do's" prompted celebration at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Their wedding date happened to be during the museum's Art in Bloom event where florists come in and create arrangements to mimic the art, resulting in the space being filled with gorgeous flowers. The color palette complimented the venue perfectly with hues of lavender and gold accents. The reception had a full dance floor with Bachata and Merengue music, another nod to her Dominican culture. Before dancing began, Carolina led the guests through a mini-Bachata lesson which several guests shared was their favorite part of the evening.
