Throughout his high school and professional football career, Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph has always worn #9. That's why when he was introduced to Jordan Nine at a party sophomore year of college he had a feeling that they would hit it off. Fast forward five years and Kyle was surprising Jordan by proposing against the backdrop of the Cincinatti skyline, with their family and friends there to celebrate. When it came time to choose a wedding venue the Wayzata couple immediately settled on Los Cabos, Mexico. With sweeping views of blue skys and palm trees we can definitely get behind a destination wedding getaway.
By working with a variety of vendors, both in Mexico and Minnesota, this pair created a fusion of high-class details with a laid back ambiance. As Jordan put it, “we wanted a relaxed, fun, wedding with a formal feel.” With a guest count of 94 the ceremony and following party were close and personal without feeling sparse. “Our wedding was very intimate. We were able to spend time with each guest and talk with every person there. That is another reason we chose Cabo, we did not want a huge extravagant wedding. We had a pretty big number for a destination wedding and each person there plays a huge role in our lives and our relationship."
This easy breezy bride chose not to stress about planning details and instead left most decisions up to her planner, with the help of a few photos and a lot of trust! She also picked out her dress in the space of an hour with her mom there for support. Her biggest piece of advice for brides-to-be? "Stay relaxed and enjoy every moment because the day goes by so fast!" Some of the couples favorite details included lighting the unity candle during their ceremony, being surrounded by their closest friends and family, and seeing each other for the first time when Jordan made her way down the aisle escorted by her dad.
