Minnesota Bride Fall/Winter 2023

The main goal of Kyle Jensen and Josh Plattner’s fall wedding day was to simply have fun and celebrate with friends and family — and that’s exactly what they did. Nestled in Northeast Minneapolis, the Machine Shop’s industrial details, mixed metals and plenty of natural light fit the couple’s taste perfectly, with a plethora of plants and greenery adding the “natural” in their natural-meets-industrial vision. In keeping with their mission of fun, the pair held a preliminary and post-ceremony cocktail hour. “No reason the party should wait until after we’re married!” Kyle says. The ceremony was stunning as installations of Robellini palm, smilax and salal flawlessly framed the couple as they exchanged vows. Equally gorgeous, the reception tables were adorned with candles and foliage that appeared to be growing out of the floor. There was not a dry eye in the crowd during the simultaneously hilarious and touching toasts from Kyle’s and Josh’s brothers. “It felt surreal to see all the important people in our lives coming together in one place at one time, just for us,” Kyle says.
