Lauren Kewitsch and Jacob Sporleder were college friends with crushes on each other before a mutual friend persuaded them to tell each other about their feelings. Obviously, it worked out, leading to the couple’s refined and romantic wedding last fall. “We wanted something elegant, and we wanted it to be about our love and our story. We married our best friend and we wanted the world to witness that,” Lauren says. They chose The 3 Ten Event Venue in Faribault for the ceremony and reception in part because it honored Lauren’s family roots. “My grandparents couldn’t make it to the wedding, but having it in a city that was part of their lives was almost like having a piece of them there.” Lauren’s family helped in other ways, too: Her father used his handicraft skills to create their backdrop and the irresistible doughnut wall.
