After exchanging glances in the hallway at work, Hailey Felski and Eric Facklam sensed there was something special there. Fast-forward five years: A guitarist was playing their song while they walked along the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis as Eric proposed on bended knee, then he surprised her with an engagement party with family and friends from out of town. Their wedding date fell on the 40th anniversary of the bride’s aunt and uncle, so Hailey and Eric invited them to share the first dance to “Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.” The elegant neutral color palette carried through to the bridesmaids’ champagne-hued dresses, set off by the groomsmen in black tuxedoes. Flickering taper candles lit up the ballroom at Hazeltine as bride and groom basked in the love of the important people in their lives. “It makes me tear up thinking back on the day,” Hailey recalls fondly.
