Sweet Treats from Farina Bakeshop
The new Farina Bakeshop in Excelsior can do show-stopping dessert tables with the best of them (think fluffy macarons, decadent dessert shooters, sweet little cupcakes and ornately decorated cakes)—but pastry chef and owner Tracy Kohler has some surprises up her sleeve. She also loves to cater brunches, whether it’s a feast for all your wedding guests, or a spectacular spread to fuel the bridal party while they prepare for a daylong celebration.
She suggests the ham and gruyere brioche rolls. “It’s a soft, buttery brioche rolled up in locally produced pork and gruyere cheese,” says Kohler. Or try the bostock, which features almond filling and seasonal jam made from berries grown in her own organic garden.
Kohler will happily create a special menu or dessert, since no two tastes are exactly the same. “Every single bride you meet is unique,” says Kohler.
