Best friends prep for an abundant feast at The Lowlands in St. Paul. Bride Miranda Jo wears the stylish “Joselina” gown in classic white by Vera Wang from Anna Bé Bridal while her friend Paola opts for radiant chartreuse to complement the bold hues of the celebration. 

An eclectic palette of striking colors paired with classic black and white sets the tone for the funky dinner-party atmosphere. The menu cards carry through the vibe, with a fun hand-lettered font inviting guests to chow down, while gold-painted shells serve as salt and pepper mini-dishes for a touch of glam.
This creation by Food Gallery Catering features a mouthwatering grilled half-lobster with Calabrian chile compound butter nestled on a bed of colorful greens and late-season vegetables.
A rich, red wine brings out the delicate flavors of salmon mousse, crispy rice canapé with spicy tuna and wasabi greens, and tinned fish charcuterie with crackers and grilled citrus, with a scallop aquachile with white onion, cucumber, cilantro and kumquat that’s plated to perfection.
Pear poached in white wine and vanilla bean makes a sweet ending to the luxurious feast.
Chowgirls Catering’s opulent spread channels fall flavors, starting with a bruschetta board featuring honeyed ricotta, blue cheese, mushroom conserva, slow-roasted tomatoes and grilled artichokes served with grilled bread and crostini. Menus with pops of chartreuse and whimsical illustrations and gold-tone/acrylic utensils continue the modern, carefree vibe.
Chowgirls go all-in with the “triple butter” salad—butternut squash, buttered pecans over butter lettuce—topped with a splash of buttermilk dressing, of course.
If you have room for more, an irresistible plate of grilled shrimp on a bed of saffron and lemon risotto from Chowgirls Catering awaits, adding brilliant shades to the tablescape.
Apricot Floral’s bountiful bouquet makes a stunning statement with phalaenopsis orchids, blush ranunculus and bright allium, with hellebore, sweet pea and amaranthus for a blend of textures.
This dainty delicacy by Baked by Kenzi is an ode to traditional ornamentation, embellished with pearls and ornate piping in subtle shades of green.
Nightcap, anyone? The Ladyslipper Lounge—The Lowlands’ chic in-house bar—serves up fanciful libations, such as these delicious concoctions: The Fog (Earl Grey-infused bourbon, crème de violette, lavender bitters, vanilla simple syrup and cream topped with edible dried flower petals); the Ladyslipper Sipper with Tattersall aquavit, chartreuse, pear liqueur, simple syrup, lemon juice, a splash of club soda garnished with pear slices; and glasses of refreshing Gascogne rosé from Cuvée Jean-Paul.
