Wedding: May 26, 2017

Ceremony: Our Lady of Victory Chapel, St. Catherine University, St. Paul

Reception: The Minikahda Club, Minneapolis

Honeymoon: Greece and Italy

Tom Henderson met Bianca Burbank shortly after she moved to Minneapolis and took her out on a date. But it was their second date—when he invited her over for a home-cooked dinner—when she fell for him. Bianca was drawn to Tom’s gentlemanly charm, and since then the couple has shared an appreciation for the finer things in life, which includes sipping wine and dining out around the Twin Cities. Their search for an elegant venue brought them to the Minikahda Club. The décor was light and airy, with regal touches. Springy white florals were a focal point, which had special meaning for the bride due to her name, Bianca Rose, which means “white rose.” Bianca also wove gold into the décor after she was smitten with sequined bridesmaid dresses that sparkled in the spring sunlight. The duo also nodded to their love for the outdoors (she’s from Alaska, he’s from Minnesota) in rustic details, like the wedding cake wrapped in a birch-like confection, and the state-shaped cufflinks Bianca gave Tom. Guests traveled to Minneapolis from 19 states to celebrate the couple’s love. Before a traditional sit-down dinner, Bianca and Tom wed in St. Catherine University’s French-style chapel, then introduced their out-of-town guests to Minneapolis with an elegant cocktail hour on the Minikahda Club’s sprawling patio, overlooking picturesque Lake Calhoun where Tom had proposed, and a view of the downtown skyline.
