A Romantic Duluth Wedding in the Rain

Jacob met Alexa in Iowa while picking up farm equipment, and the two had an instant connection. Now, along with their three children, the couple calls their farm in Nebraska home. They chose Duluth as their destination wedding venue, and an elevated Midwestern sheen shone throughout their ceremony and reception at the Enger Tower.
The moody weather lent a subtle magic to the autumn day, and the ceremony began under the cover of heavy fog. The bride made a bold statement in a black gown from Madonna's Wedding Belle, and she was met by her groom in a black cowboy hat to match. Bridesmaids in burgundy dresses complemented the pressed black shirts and dark blue denim of the groomsmen. The couple shared their vows surrounded by their three children; the two older boys delivered personal messages to their mother before she walked down the aisle, and during a heartfelt toast to start the reception.
The overall design embraced Alexa's style, drawing on antique aesthetics and incorporating lace details and vintage touches throughout the decor. A color palette of mysterious, rich tones of deep blue and black grounded the autumn day in emotion, while white florals added a soft, white balance.
During the newlyweds' first dance, there was a break in the clouds, and the city shone from below, drawing a cheer from the guests and marking a highlight of the day.
