When Ashley and Antoine said “I do” at Minneapolis’ Paris Dining Club, the setting was more than a backdrop—it was a love letter. The venue, with its inherently French spirit, was a natural fit for a couple whose romance quite literally crossed an ocean. Ashley followed Antoine to France while he completed his master’s degree in art, and the two spent a year alternating between Minnesota and France before planting roots together. Ten years, two children and two dogs later, they finally made it official.
As a floral designer, Ashley brought her own vision to life, drawing inspiration from the gardens of Versailles—specifically the wilder, untamed landscape surrounding Marie Antoinette’s Petite Trianon. Lush ground meadow arrangements framed an intimate ceremony in the round, awash in green with soft blushes of pink and yellow. “France has always been woven into our life together, so it felt natural that it would be woven into our wedding day too—not loudly, but in all the small details that mean something to us,” Ashley reflects. French touches layered quietly throughout: a Croquembouche from Marc Heu Pâtisserie Paris, decks of cards featuring beloved French artists and an envelope lined with a painting of Paris. Magnifique.
