Carly Stadum and Victor Liang were bound to meet: They met on the second day of orientation for law school, where they were in the same global law program, lived on the same dormitory floor and shared the same classes. Fast forward through dating, to Victor's proposal. Candlelight and the couple's favorite Al Green music serenading them. A card Victor wrote for Carly. Hiding roommates singing "My Girl." But wait, it was too soon! Says Carly, "Victor had to shush them and push them back down the stairs because he hadn't actually proposed yet — oops!" To pull of their traditional big day at the Mill City Museum, Carly and Victor relied on those closest to them; friends and family performed the music for the ceremony and a relative officiated.

and I danced a bit to the music and meanwhile, I spied the ring box
lying open on the table but tried not to look. He was taking his time,
and had me read a card he had written to me. As I was finishing reading
it and after the music had stopped -- but before he could actually
proposed -- his roommates Johnathan and Ramy came rushing up from the
basement and started to serenade us with "My girl." Victor had to shush
them and push them back down the stairs because he hadn't actually
proposed yet, oops!
So,
we returned to the moment and Victor finally proposed! And I said yes!
...And then his roommates came back and serenaded us, for a second
time. It was both a beautiful and funny proposal...And I loved the
ring!!
We had a traditional christian wedding ceremony, it was a true
family affair, my mom's cousin officiated, and friends and family
performed the music for the ceremony. The reception was held at Mills
City Museum, my wedding planner did a fantastic job decorating theplace. my grandmaalso made a norwegian wedding cake, which she has made for everygrandchild's wedding, that was really special. We had a dj'd danceafter the wedding and we danced the night away! Our friends from lawschool stayed until they kicked us out! It was a wonderful day and weboth were so thankful for all the help our family provided us in pullingit off!
