Best Stationery Suite - Shasta Bell Calligraphy (@shastabellcalligraphy)
Inspired by her late grandfather’s Scottish uniform, Shasta Bell of Shasta Bell Calligraphy created artistic wedding stationery etched in historical elements and personal mementos. From the envelope liner bearing a 1602 fresco by Domenichino to the vintage postage stamps featuring the British Isles, this suite was the perfect homage to her heritage.

Best Bouquet & Boutonnière - MAVEN Events (@mavenevents)
As a twist to the traditional bouquet and boutonniere, Kelly Bollis of MAVEN crafted an imaginative creation of flourishing blooms for this vibrant styled shoot. Composed of ranunculus, protea, allium and amaranthus, the bouquet and boutonnière worked in harmony to achieve an epic display of beauty. “Ordinary is never an option,” Bollis said.

Best Event Design - Empiria Studios (@empiriastudios)
A checkered pattern was the catalyst behind this vibrant, texture- rich explosion of colors and prints at Urban Daisy. Leah Backstrom, mastermind behind Ink Sweets, shared a photo of a checkerboard print to Instagram asking if anyone else was motivated by it, this resulted in the formation of an all-star team of wedding professionals. “Every person on this team felt a call to do something non-traditional,” Athena Hays, owner of Empiria Studios, said. The vision was a bold dinner party-inspired design featuring an array of unexpected hues, earthy elements and a vibrant spread of provisions. The event displayed a stunning juxtaposition, combining organic floral arrangements and details with the precise symmetry of the checkered pattern. From the fruit acting as centerpieces and vases for loose flowers to the zesty color palette and artistic mix of prints, this scheme showcased the power of an unconventional wedding design.

Best Real Wedding - Alexandra & John
When a fine art photographer with more than six years in the business ties the knot, it is nothing short of picture perfect. Alexandra and John were married at a private property. “Amalfi Coast throws a garden party was the theme,” says Alexandra. Texture and thoughtful details abounded in a springtime palette of green, peach, pink and yellow. Ever the artist, Alexandra made all the stationery and signage—including building a custom escort card wall. Inspired by the property owner’s passion for wine, the couple made their own vintage—which also won a blue ribbon at the State Fair.
