Ashley Bruber and Anthony Gullickson met as students at the University of St. Thomas, which is why they chose to hold their wedding ceremony at its Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. After, they decked out the Interlachen Country Club with deep marsala flowers, lots of greenery and colorful taper candles for their reception. “The warmth of our décor made for the most magical and romantic evening that we could have ever dreamt of,” Ashley says. Because they got married in mid-October at the peak of the fall colors, they wanted a reception venue where they could really take advantage of autumn’s beauty. Interlachen has gorgeous spots around the property that showcase those colors, and lots of large windows looking out at the golf course. But the greatest part of Ashley’s day was when her brand-new husband gave a toast at the reception about their journey together, surrounded by their family and friends.
