When the Plymouth Building was erected in downtown Minneapolis in 1910, it was a big deal. It was, after all, the biggest reinforced-concrete office building in the world. Fast-forward a century or so later, and the now-historic building is a big deal again, this time as home of the Embassy Suites by Hilton, right in the heart of the Hennepin Theatre District.

Opened in August 2016, the venue offers ultra-stylish wedding options. Dubbed modern deco décor, the property does a nice job blending the new with the retro, all while preserving the kind of finely crafted details that you just don’t see at new venues. (Case in point: stunning marble staircases.)

It can host bigger weddings (up to 250 guests) in the grand ballroom, or smaller soirées in the social rooms. The Hennepin Room is especially enticing, with its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the light and energy of downtown.

Couples will appreciate the ease of planning with the property’s on-site wedding pros, while guests will appreciate the ease of simply taking the elevator up to their suite post-party.
