Red roses. Yellow tulips. Lime-green cymbidium orchids. The flowers each bride chooses for her wedding bouquet speak volumes about her personality, fashion sense, and dreams for the future.

Unfortunately, many of those blooms are relegated to a few photos in an album on a shelf somewhere. That’s where Minneapolis artist, Megan Moore, steps in. She offers brides a unique way to remember their wedding blooms by creating a commissioned oil painting of their bouquet.

“Most brides love their wedding flowers,” she says, and “now their vibrancy can live on as a pretty piece of art.” Moore uses bold, graphic lines reminiscent of woodcuts to feature individual blossoms from a bride’s floral décor. She works from wedding photos, or, if a friend wants to surprise a bride with a shower or wedding gift, she’ll request a list of the flowers showcased on the big day, and has the painting complete in time for gift-giving.
