One-Stop Bridal Shop on Grand Avenue

Researching, calling and comparing wedding vendors has been one of the more tiresome wedding tasks. Not anymore, thanks to Make It Grand, a new one-stop bridal shop on Grand Avenue in St. Paul. The “bridal mall” is a cooperative of sorts where local florists, tailors, cake decorators and other wedding vendors have pooled their resources in one elegant space. Each company gets a permanent display area and private room to meet with clients.
A visit to Make It Grand is like going to a mini bridal fair, says co-founder Tami Johnson. “The best part is that you don’t have to collect all these business cards to save for later; you can just come back. When you’re finally ready to start thinking about a photographer, then you schedule another visit to check out our photographers’ displays.”

Brides also appreciate Make It Grand’s commitment to supporting local and independently owned businesses, Johnson says. “Smaller, independent vendors bring an unmatched level of customer service. They have more of a vested interest in both you and your event. They get hands-on involved and offer a personal touch.”
