Tina & Tom
Oct. 31, 2009 at the Semple Mansion in Minneapolis

Though they met in high school, Tina Testa and Tom Rostamo didn’t start dating until they reconnected after college through mutual friends. Everything else about them is not quite as sedate. Music plays a big role in their lives (Tom, who plays guitar and sings, is in several bands) and Halloween is their favorite holiday, so each played a big part in their wedding celebration. Bare branches provided a nod to the beauty (and spookiness) of fall, and candelabra centerpieces continued the branch theme. The Rostamos also love to see concerts at local venues and travel to music festivals, so their music choices were thoughtfully chosen and accompanied a ceremony they wrote themselves. Tina walked down the aisle to “Queen of the Surface Streets” by Devotchka and the couple walked out to “Blitzkreig Bop” by the Ramones, one of Tom’s favorite bands. Their grand entrance was to Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You.”
