Lucky for Josh Wegner, he passed Shannon Young's obligatory two courtesy dates with flying colors. So much so that the pair became engaged in the December of 2011 after a run around Lake Harriet; good timing, as Shannon's parents were just blocks away, able to share in the joy immediately. For their wedding, Shannon and Josh kept things simple and sweet, with an emphasis on the historic charm of Minneapolis. "Not trendy or modern or DIY, but classic," says Shannon. Rose bouquets and Mercury glass helped carry that theme through the reception's last dance.
