Nikki & Ron

July 11, 2009 at the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul

Nikki Eilefson and Ron Johnson love the outdoors; they met at an outdoor bar in Minneapolis (where she likes to joke that she “picked him up”), they love to spend time outside, and knew they wanted an outdoor wedding ceremony. In historic Irvine Park they found the perfect green setting for their environmentally conscious wedding. The earth-friendly couple kept it simple and green, in both color and intent, with stationery products from an earth-conscious mill in Michigan, online RSVPs, and a request that their guests recycle their invitations. Green apples, bird images and nests provided the color and ambiance; even the flowers were kept simple and sweet, so that little would go to waste. The entire celebration left a lasting impression on the guests—but not on the couple’s cherished outdoors.
