In a kind of reverse order, Nikki Kiley and Bryn Erickson’s wedding was inspired by their honeymoon. Nikki had asked her mother—a seasoned traveler—to name her favorite place in the world. She came up with Barcelona, and the couple decided not only to plan a honeymoon there, but to make it the theme of their wedding. They dined on Spanish cuisine and enjoyed the musical talents of a flamenco guitarist. In tribute to Nikki’s beloved late grandmother, guests received tins of her famous homemade mints, which Nikki and her family had lovingly crafted in the shape of hearts and wedding bells. The pugs, Bella and Turbo, who served as flower girls, were Nikki’s long before she met Bryn, and while it took him some time to warm to them at first, he soon learned to love them so much that he couldn’t imagine them not playing a role in the special day.
