Megan & Rob
Oct. 2, 2010 at Theodore Wirth Chalet in Minneapolis

Megan Evans and Rob Seeds met on the University of Wisconsin-Madison Nordic ski team. They got to know one another during practices and events, including the “Birkie”—a 51-km cross-country race that takes place every February in Wisconsin. It was during this race in 2006 that they became more than just teammates, and they’ve skied it together every year since. Theodore Wirth Park, known for its ski trails, was a logical site for their wedding. Megan wore the dress that her mother and maternal grandmother had worn, and a necklace made from her paternal grandmother’s engagement diamond. Rather than a wedding cake, they served éclairs from their favorite local coffee shop and offered party favors of wildflower seed packets (to honor their new shared last name). Their ski friends surprised them by storming the dance floor in Birkie race bibs, celebrating the start of a lifetime of racing side by side.
