Lindsey & Chad

June 18, 2011 at Plymouth Creek Center & Millennium Gardens

Separated by two time zones and over 3,000 miles, Lindsey George and Chad Sjaarda decided to take a new approach to dating. Their solution: eHarmony. To make sure they would hit it off, they emailed and phoned each other for three months before their first destination date at Minnehaha Falls Park. After a three-day-date, they returned to their homes—Lindsey lived in Wyoming and Chad lived in Alaska—and decided that some moving will be necessary. Two years later, Chad proposed at a party for Lindsey’s new job. They designed a summery garden wedding, but due to the unpredictable June weather in Minnesota, they were rained out. However, never has a rainy day seemed so lovely, and photographer Louisa Podlich of Rivets and Roses Photography was there to capture it all.
