Kelly & Marcus

Sparks flew—literally—when Marcus proposed to Kelly, as they watched fireworks light up over San Diego’s Mission Bay (part of his carefully planned proposal). Much to her surprise, their parents and friends were waiting on a boat nearby, ready to celebrate the newly betrothed pair. On the morning of their wedding day, Marcus gave Kelly a journal filled with letters that he’d written in the 10 days leading up to the wedding. They contained his thoughts, prayers and dreams for that day and the rest of their lives together. It was a perfect prelude to a day full of thoughtful and meaningful gestures. During the ceremony, each guest received a piece of sea glass, which they were asked to bless with a prayer for the couple. The sea glass was collected and is now on display in their home, serving as a constant reminder of the loving and supportive community that surrounds them.
