Jessie & Andrew

May 14, 2011 at Minnesota Valley Country Club in Bloomington

Jessie Lusignan has a BA in interior design and took on the planning of her wedding to Andrew Basil as though it were a design project. She had her concept—“the mustard bird” (after her blog of the same name)—and made every decision using that starting point, from the handmade bird cake-topper to the bird cages hung in a tree at the park where the pair had their engagement photo shoot. Jessie’s bridal bouquet included basil leaves as a nod to her new surname and for the herb’s traditional meaning as a symbol of love. Huge baseball fans, the pair went to San Francisco on their honeymoon and attended all three of the Giants/Twins series games. Fan interference in the seat next to them even provided Jessie and Andrew with some unexpected TV face-time!
