Jessica & Robert

Sept. 27, 2008 at James J. Hill Library in St. Paul

After Jessica Keller and Robert Williams became engaged in September 2007, they planned their wedding by the book—literally. The couple announced their impending nuptials with book-themed invitations that Jessica made with ribbon bookmarks and checkout cards stamped with the wedding date. The James J. Hill Library inspired the memorable motif, which carried through to a card catalog seating chart and readings based in literature. The couple’s fairy-tale wedding began with pictures on the Minneapolis riverfront. Bagpipes played before the ceremony and as Jessica entered the library’s majestic reading room. She wore a Moonlight gown from the Bridal Boutique and Outlet in St. Cloud and a Tiffany necklace that was surprise gift from Rob. The bride’s multi-colored bouquet from “I Do” Flowers held her late grandfather’s watch. The Steel Blue Band played Sade’s “By Your Side” for the couple’s first dance, before inviting the groom and a few friends on stage to jam. Queen of Cakes imagined the evening’s heavenly last chapter: four different kinds of frosted, filled cake.
