Jennifer & Nicholas

May 28, 2011 with a ceremony at Thomas Lowry Park at reception at The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis

Jeni and Nick proudly wear their nerdiness—and now their love—on their fingers. Jeni wears an Order of the Engineer ring on her right pinky, while Nick wears a Mensa ring on his right ring finger; as of this past spring, two more rings have been added to the mix. The couple’s reception took place at the same venue where the bride’s parents were married, adding a bit of family history to the event. At the reception, Jeni and Nick chose to have dinner by themselves in a separate room to enjoy a few private minutes (and actually have time to eat!) before joining the party. When Jeni began to slip on the hem of her dress during the first dance, her sister cut off about six inches of the fabric, which the bride and her bridesmaids then wore around their necks, to marvelous and memorable effect, in the photo booth.
