Jen & Duane
Jen Klosner and Duane Passa met while training for a marathon, getting to know one another during group runs around the Minneapolis lakes. Proving that their relationship was strong enough to endure long distances, they spent almost two years living across the country from one another after Duane took a job in Phoenix. During one of their many visits, after a hike up Camelback Mountain, he proposed. The wedding showcased the talents of friends and family, who had a hand in everything from the invitation design to the cake creation. A pine cone theme honored the crafting traditions of Jen’s late grandmother, with pine cones incorporated into the bouquets, centerpieces and even the groomsmen’s boutonnieres. They found a way to honor Duane’s grandparents as well, bringing in a polka instructor to instruct the wedding party so they could join the grandparents on the dance floor for a Polish-style celebration.
