Heather & Jason

When Jason Roberts proposed to Heather Glewwe, his sweetheart since high school, he was sporting a snowmobile suit and helmet, kneeling in icy snowdrifts. She said yes, and the two zipped off on their chilly chariot. While they do love their snowmobile escapades, Heather and Jason also have a fondness for equatorial climates and dreamed of a wedding in Hawaii or Mexico. Knowing it would be problematic for family and friends to travel so far, however, they compromised and planned an autumn wedding with a tropical twist. The groomsmen all wore flip-flops with their light-colored suits, and vibrant orchids were arranged everywhere at the couple’s Water Street Inn wedding. A pineapple-glazed ham was the main course and big bowls of oranges served as centerpieces on the tables. Since nearly all the bride and groom’s friends had known one another since junior high, everyone felt free to be silly and have fun, resulting in a reception that was as high-spirited as a Hawaiian luau.
