Heather & Derek

November 13, 2010 at Profile Event Center in Minneapolis

Though Heather Ocel and Derek Williams graduated from the same program on the same day in college, worked at the same company without ever meeting and buried their grandfathers about 30 yards from each other, it took a chance meeting through an online dating site to bring the pair together. For their Profile Event Center wedding they mixed thrifted and ornate details to evoke a vintage feel. A pit stop at the Kitty Cat Klub with photographer Erica Loeks instigated that vintage vibe, dancing on the checkered floor and squeezing in the photobooth. Though there are plenty of thanks to go around, the newlyweds owe a particularly big thank you to Heather’s sister Heidi, who designed all of the paper products—invitations, programs and signage included.
