Hannah & Jonathan

Sept. 27, 2008 at Shepherd's Hill Farm in Montgomery

When Jonathan Kuriscak surprised his girlfriend, Hannah Riesgraf, with a new camera, she was thrilled but not entirely shocked. Hannah loves photography, and Jonathan was known to make such romantic gestures. The big shock came when Hannah turned on the camera to see a picture of an engagement ring. With their hearts set on an outdoor ceremony, the couple chose Shepherd’s Hill Farm in Montgomery for its idyllic lakefront setting and pastoral charm. Hannah gave her bridesmaids vintage brooches to pin on their tea-length taffeta dresses from David’s Bridal. They also carried parasols found on Craigslist, which made a perfect last-minute screen for the waiting bride. Jonathan’s dad performed the ceremony, during which Hannah’s brother played an original song on the guitar. The couple exchanged vows beneath a rustic wedding arch created by family and friends just the night before. The savvy bride wore a billowy strapless Watters gown she also found on Craigslist and used fresh berries to customize Costco cupcakes. Rosy bouquets by Westvig Wedding Flowers completed the merry mood.
