Chantelle & Ryan

July 17, 2010 at Mayowood Stone Barns in Rochester

Self-proclaimed island girl Chantelle Massier and Ryan McMahon met on the beach while vacationing in Mexico. Early on, he told her she held the key to his heart. After years of planning others’ weddings as a floral designer, it was time for Chantelle to plan her own. An outdoor wedding was a must, and the beach-loving couple chose to bring the beach to their celebration. A seashell curtain fashioned from shell necklaces purchased at thrift stores hung at the ceremony, 21 capiz shell chandeliers lit the reception and the bride’s own lifelong collection of shells adorned the tables. Tropical flowers showcased Chantelle’s love of exotic flora and created a bouquet worthy of her “mermaid bride” inspiration. Ryan’s key theme was repeated throughout the stationery, décor and bridesmaids’ jewelry.
